| Borussia Dortmund announces semi-annual results H1 2009/2010 | | | | [26.02.2010] Despite of the financial crisis Borussia Dortmund improved the semi-annual results 2009/2010 compared to the previous first half-year (by € 0,9 Mio. to € 0,1 Mio. in the single first half-year statement and by € 0,9 Mio. to € -1,4 Mio. in the Group first half-year statement). Declining revenues could be over-compensated by cost savings. | | | Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA recorded in the first half of the fiscal year 2009/2010 (01.07.2009 - 31.12.2009) earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in an amount of € 0.5 Mio. (previous first half-year € 0.4). Earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted € 0.1 Mio. (previous first half-year € -0.7 Mio.) and the semi-annual result amounted € 0.1 Mio. (previous first half-year € -0.8 Mio.) in the report period.
According to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) the Borussia Dortmund Group net loss amounted € -1.4 Mio. (previous first half-year € -2.3 Mio.) in the first half-year 2009/2010. Earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted € 9.8 Mio. (previous first half-year € 9.4 Mio.). Group Earnings before taxes and interest (EBIT) was € 1.3 Mio. (previous first half-year € 0.4 Mio.). Group revenues amounted € 58.2 Mio. (previous first half-year € 63.0 Mio.). Personnel expenses changed to € 23.7 Mio. (previous first half-year € 26.5 Mio.). Depreciation and amortization resulted in € 8.6 Mio. (previous first half-year € 9.0 Mio.). The other operating expenses amounted € 23.1 Mio. (previous first half-year € 25.5 Mio.) in the report period. The financial result degraded to € -2.8 Mio (previous first half-year € -2.7 Mio.) The deviation between the Group and the single semi-annual results is mainly based on higher depreciation and amortization regarding the stadium in the Group first half-year statement.
